Hope everyone's 2012 is off to a great start! I've been thinking about getting a new layout up at my site. This one has sure been around for quite some time. I've got a layout from the lovely April that's all ready to use, but I might do something different next time. I've been obsessed with the show Hot in Cleveland, and I might do a layout with that show. Not sure when I'll feel like working on that though. I tend to procrastinate on certain things...Like finishing converting my FLs to Listing Admin. I still haven't done that yet. Just one of the many things I keep meaning to do! And you might've seen yesterday that I put my site on strike, to go along with the SOPA/PIPA deal. But it's up and running again now. :) Anywho, that's about all I can think of for now! It features the adorable Niles Crane and Daphne Moon-Crane from Frasier. :) I believe it turned out pretty good. Nothing much new in site news. I got a few fanlistings up recently. Harry, Ginny, Albus Severus, James (II), Lily (II) Potter, Jessie from the Toy Story series, the Pizza Planet Aliens from the Toy Story series, and a major wishlister, Josh Turner! Whew! Very seasonal, don't you think? With the weather getting some warmer, at least here in the South, where I live. I hope everybody enjoys the layout! :) Since my last post, I got the Sue Ann Nivens fanlisting fully up and running. Go check it out here. I was pretty pleased with the way it turned out. I thought it was time for something a little more seasonal, since the hummingbirds are migrating anyway. We had several at our feeders this year. I love those little birds to pieces. :D Nothing too new on the fanlistings front. I did apply for one of my favorite Christmas movies a couple days ago. I'll probably get that put up in time for Christmas this year, which is in 2 months!! Eek. It always amazes me how time flies. It's a little scary too. I also put in my application for this year's TFL Secret Santa. I always love participating in that. It's so much fun and I look forward to it every year. I'm heading out for a trip to visit my grandparents tomorrow, so I wanted to update them before I leave. Also, while looking at some of them, I realized a lot of my older fanlistings have had the same layouts for as long as they've been up. Maybe I'll do something about that when I get back. I also have a pumpkin-themed layout for the site that I have ready to put up. I guess I'll get to that when I get back too. I thought I might do it before I leave, but I don't think I will. Well, anyways, that's all for now! :) I have completed an update of my fanlistings that needed updating. First a little backstory I think is needed. This is the story of how I got my own domain. First, my previous host and one of my dearest friends, April, had a major life changing event that happened in her family, so she told her current hostees (me and my other dearest friend, Kristen) to find a new host as she wouldn't be able to have as much online time as she's had in the past and wouldn't be around if one of our sites had a problem or if we needed her or anything. So then, I contacted Shannon to see if she would host me, and she said yes. :) However, then, around my birthday time (April 15th), I got my usual gift, 2 $50 pre-paid Visa gift cards. At the time, I wasn't sure what on Earth I'd use them for, because I already pretty much had everything I wanted. Then the thought came to me: "Why not get my first domain with them this time?" So I asked April several questions about how owning a domain works and everything. And in May 2009, I registered precious-memory.net with namecheap.com, and got the free hosting from the lovely Kya of bubble.nu. So there's my story. I have recently finished re-adding old members & affiliates to every one of my fanlistings. That was a time-consuming task, but I'm glad I have it all done. Now I can start re-adding in my joined fanlistings from my old site, which will take more time, but I don't mind. It keeps me busy. Before I go, I must thank Nikie again for letting me use her coding. I want to learn how to skin to sometime soon, but for now I'm just going to put layouts up the old-fashioned way.
